In order to experiment with new video software this early machining project was finally published!

The eternal quest to find a video editing workflow is never ending. The most recent addition to the flock is Davinci Resolve, a professional non-linear video editor with a free version. This version removes a couple features such as multi-gpu, 4k support, and several plugins. It offers enough functionality for a budding youtube content producer such as yours truly.

Video editors used and passed on:

  • OpenShot - nice and open source, features are limited
  • HitFilm Express - lovely, recommended, but free version limits export quality
  • OpenToonz - Incredibly powerful 2d animation software, awkward integration with other tools, surpassed by Resolve's paint tool.

Music is from the youtube audio library a fantastic resource to avoid the ambiguity of copyright strikes
